Smart Options

Smart Options helps students discover their "smarts" - the many ways they express their intelligence and shows them how those smarts can lead to satisfying life and work choices. Inspired by Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intellegences, Smart Options gives participants a conceptual and practical framework for enriching their lives as well as directing and shaping their futures. Designed for use in middle school and higher, the program is intuitive, free of jargon, and requires no training by people who deliver the program.

To use the program, teachers and counselors will need to purchase:

• A Facilitator's Guide, which contains background information about multiple intellegences and provides step-by-step suggestions for leading students through their Resource Book.
• Student's Resource Book (a consumable) - 32 pages, full color-- introduces the students to the idea of "smarts" and how one's eight smarts can be applied to personal career exploration.
